Exit Signs
I don’t think you understand You lost me before you took my hand I’ve just been waiting for my exit On this endless drive through no man’s land. Watching the exit signs fly by Counting the miles as they multiply Waiting to see a landmark I recognize Or at least a sign of human life. Not scared enough to jump, but Bored and angry enough to try - Ten million times I wished you’d stop And let me out of your life tonight. Still… I’d rather know where I am when I tuck and roll and taste the dirt again. ©2024 @StaceyBattlestheWorld
