Long Winters
Cold - I needed her heat, Small body of warmth In this frigid air. It was an adventure To live someplace so cold In a house so very old And make our own heat. Resourceful, she set out To crochet blankets and Hardy, I went out to Bring in more wood. But those were the Harsh extremes; That wasn’t the heat of every day. Instead, We generated Our own with the Bright colors We painted on Each other’s walls. © 2024 @StaceyBattlestheWorld
