The Use of Flowers
Names like petals Falling to the ground. So many symbols We use for so many words - I have so many words, For you. Does each breath that Forms your name Add years to your life, Remove tears from your life, Remove weary lies? Twisting vines of perennial Words boldly entwined Dig thorns into each other’s sides; We are bound now by blood Into each other’s sides. Each petal peals a bell Falling to the ground, not death, but life caught; Can we reap new hope Out of the mouths of worms? ©2024 @StaceyBattlestheWorld
