Tsunami

Like a wave
She broke herself 
Against their rocks
Again

And again.

Froth and
Suds and 
Whipping winds
In her hair

And there.

There, at the edge 
Of their sure lines
And rocky ledgers
She withdrew deeper

And deeper.

Withdrew in upon 
Herself, and built
Herself taller still
Until she let go.

Just once.

This time, just once.
