Unofficial
We bought it together, you see; well, we both wanted one and we were together (though we hadn’t made it official); money was tight and we were always together (although it wasn’t official) and, well, why buy two when we could share one, so we both paid half (that wasn’t official either) and it looked official when we were at the counter together (but it wasn’t) and the cashier thought it was official (and was wrong) and then we took it back to my place and used it together but now it’s here, on unofficial business, until you drop by again and we use it here or at your place or you officially borrow it back to use on your own (you can do that, you know) and that would give me official reason to stop by to bring it back to my place, (I can do that too, you know), and sooner or later we’ll see so much of each other that it will be official, and that was my plan - What was yours? And if we ever become unofficial after being official, we can cut it in half and throw it away because neither of us will ever want to see it again, officially or unofficially. ©2024 @StaceyBattlestheWorld
