It’s taken too long 
For humans to realize
We are caught
In a lovers’ snare

Please stop asking,
When you or I?
There is only,
We.

Everything - 
In this universe
In our ideals
In our conflicts
In our choices
In our actions
In our hearts
In our scorn,
Everything,
No matter how
Forlorn -
Everything
That affects you
Will eventually 
Affect me.

There is no greater
Intimacy
Than our shared
Humanity.
